Southern California is a far cry from the mountains of Kentucky, but for songstress Kailey Swanson, it's all just been a part of her passionate and personal journey. Her love of singing country ballads was nurtured at a young age by her grandmother, and Kailey soon realized shehad a natural gift for song and for telling a story. Kailey was born in Las Vegas and then moved to the west coast, but her extended family and heritage is deeply embedded in Southern culture, and she never eschewed hervisceral country roots. Now firmly planted in Los Angeles, the music world is taking notice of this remarkable talent.Kailey began her journey acting in theatre when she was just nine years old in the American Girl Revue at the Los Angeles American Girl Store. Having completely caught the performance bug at this point, she continued to perform around Southern California in various theatre productions. She has worked in many other areas of the entertainment industry including film, TV, voice-over, commercials and as a recording artist. Kailey is an eclectic song writer whose inspirations come from the deep southern roots of her Grandmother. From Patsy Cline and Loretta Lynn to Miranda Lambert and Kacey Musgraves, Kailey’s style blends traditional country with a modern rock edge. She can be seen in an episode of ABC's Mixology as Dawn, Disney’s “Kickin It” as Shannon, the Sundance award winning horror musical “The Legend of Beaver Dam” and voicing two characters on Disney’s “Special Agent Oso”.
