Mystical Greek Goddesses were alluring forms of aesthetic beauty moved by the muses to recite inspirational poetry or sing in pure golden tones that reflected the essence of sound. In a reminiscent gleam of these mystical characters of ancient times we find LISA PANAGOS reflecting golden tones in her music. Her last name, Panagos, is derived from the Greek word PAN, who is the God of music. With a name like that, no wonder Lisa has followed a career in music. Already a successful actress and dancer, Lisa is a vibrant recording artist and songwriter, whose music evokes a sleek sensuality.Lisa was born in Maryland’s horse country where she grew up riding horses, skateboarding and playing all sorts of sports. A bit of a tomboy at heart, she has always gotten her inspiration from nature and began writing poetry as early as 8. Horseback riding was never her strong suit and after a terrible accident, Lisa decided to trade her horse boots and riding hat for dancing shoes and a top hat. It turned out to be a great decision. Lisa was a natural and excelled in many forms of dance including ballet, jazz and tap. She won an Honorable Mention award in dance from the National Foundation for the Arts for exceptional achievement in the arts. Soon after, she began singing, acting and modeling and loved it all. She began honing her craft in her hometown and then was accepted into Syracuse University to study Acting and Music. With her sites set on NYC, Lisa received her BFA in 3 yrs and went to NYC to pursue her dreams. Her hard work eventually started to pay off when she began landing roles in Theatre, TV and Film. Lisa has performed around the world to audiences of 50 to 50, 000 with her original music, musical reviews and book shows. Studio 54 lends a tremendous disco mix with tons of sophisticated horn sections and jazzy synths. The original vocals are very mid tempo with a techno edge….nice to listen to and a sure fire floor filler.” Review from For the Record.Lisa has been influenced musically by her Mediterranean roots and her parents’ love for the classics such as; Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin, Nat King Cole, Ella Fitzgerald and Lionel Hampton to name a few. “There was always music playing in the house when I was growing up” says Lisa, “and my parents had excellent taste in music”. Lisa is currently living in Hollywood and working on her new CD. She is kicking it old school and the outcome is fresh, sultry musical styling that will tantalize the ear and heat the soul. The songs are provocative and intimate and cover a wide range of emotions. She puts a new twist on “sweet” and the grooves played are ultra sexy and funky. The tracks definitely compliment Lisa’s sultry, sophisticated vibe.
