International Reggae/Dancehall/Soca artist ABM hails from the beautiful island of Trinidad. ABM is as multi-talented as they come. He writes, sings, produces, and engineers all of his music. Several of ABM’s family members were musicians so from a very young age he became involved in music because the music was all around him. After High School he attended Grambling State University in Louisiana, USA, graduating with an engineering degree. ABM decided not to move back to his beloved island of Trinidad and take his talents to the West Coast of the USA, Los Angeles, California. While there he polished his craft at the same time producing and writing for several artists on his independent record label. ABM’s main influences were Marvin Gaye, Bob Marley, Aswad, Dennis Brown, Gregory Isaacs, Buju Banton, Maxi Priest, and Teddy Pendergrass. While taking a back seat to developing other artists, he realized that he was the act that he had been looking for all along. ABM refocused and decided to concentrate on doing his own music meanwhile developing his record label. He considers this step in his life a privilege, and not a career. ABM is currently the CEO of Platinum Trini Entertainment, an independent record label distributed through Universal Music Group Distribution and his latest venture is an independent radio station out of Las Vegas, Hot 97FM.
