It's not everyday that you can see and track the rise of an artist, let alone the rise of a producer (who are often overshadowed by the artists that they produce for). That isn't the case with JesseGotBangerz . This young California based producer has been on the rise since we first got in contact with him over a year and a half ago. When we first interviewed him for our 'Uncommon Artists' section (formally 'Music We Love') he was slanging beats on the internet trying to make a splash in the scene while working on a project with our friend Ty Stackz Since then he's been on tour, hit over 12,000 plays on one of his singles ('Know My Name Tho' again, with Ty Stackz), contributed to a handful of bangin' projects, and he continues to produce more tracks than most heroine addicts. Needless to say, Dude is dope (pun intended). We caught up with Jesse while he was doing promotion for his newest productions on OHNO's EP, Three Commas. It's no secret that we're fans of his production and style, and we aren't the only ones. Jesse recently got a chance to co-produce a couple of songs with a producer that goes by the name of Infameezy. When asked about how the collaboration came about he said, "Infameezy (one half of OHNO) contacted me the day before he had to submit it, mind you it was at 4am, to add some snares to the 2nd track (titled "Nah"), & once I sent the track back, he asked me if I wanted to do some stuff on the title track, Three Commas. And I said, 'Yeah, No problem'. Since then I made it to the EP" It seems to be just a case of someone being in the right place at the right time. Infameezy was just part of the equation, he went on to talk about how he came into contact with Rel$, the rapper and other half of OHNO. "I took a picture with him at the Devour show in Pomona", humble beginning for a project that is set to blow out. "From there I've been a fan, supporting the dudes and respecting the hustle." What's not to respect? Rel$ is 1 of 5 kids raised by a single mother, who would later on be deported. He was bounced around from family to friends' homes, even a stint of time living out of a car, all before the age of 18. And Infameezy has been laying down tracks for more than half a decade. "I've seen them go from 1,000 followers to now 118k & 15.4k followers, and getting verified, on Twitter & Facebook, so it's really cool to see someone come a long way and to be a part of their history." We can only hope that's what is in store for Jesse's future as well. This might be a huge launching point for Mr. Bangerz, seeing as OHNO has racked up 6 digit play counts on almost all their videos and tracks. You can check out JesseGotBangerz' work on OHNO's Three Commas EP, which is now available on Arena, Google Play and the iTunes store.
