Rapper R&B Rap

"Independent Recording Artist, Rapper, Dancer, Bboy, & Songwriter, representing from Southeast San Diego to Southeast Asia. Lao Pride Movement."

Kennedy Calvin Phounsiri (born July 26, 1992), better known by his stage name "EraNetik", is a Lao-American independent recording artist, rapper, singer, and songwriter from San Diego, CA, who is currently signed under Finest City Music Group. He was the first born US Citizen in his family, but continues to carry the culture, tradition, and history that his family brought from their home country of Laos to America in the late 1980's. EraNetik grew up around music his whole life. He started dancing at the age of 10 and his father is a musician, so the artistry became natural for him. (As a dancer, he has performed on NBC’s America’s Got Talent, TruTV’s Fake Off, and was a principle dancer in the Jabbawockeez theatre show in Las Vegas and Australia.) It wasn't until his freshman year of high school, when he decided to record music seriously. He originally built a following within the young asian community through sites like Myspace, Youtube, & Tumblr, with love rap songs that allowed him to gain thousands of fans and over a million views online. To give back to the fans, he then released a free album titled "Masterpiece" in 2012 and an EP titled "Surge" the following year to showcase maturity within his raps, which was sold on online music stores. With the lack of response and financial loss from his EP, he has taken a slight break on music to focus on his professional dance career, since that was the best route for him at the time. At the end of 2014, he horribly experienced a major injury that required him to have surgery, which put him out of dancing for the whole 2015 year. He then felt the urge to heavily write music again, after various producers contacted him with music he can possibly work with them on. In the summer of 2015, he then started to put his focus on music and record a new album. The title he chose for the album was “Second Wind”, because he caught his second wind for making music once again. After working with a team of creative individuals (Collective Society) on this project, he released his new album in January 2016, which has been gaining a great response since.
