Nate Paladino is an Americana singer/songwriter with strong roots in folk and blues. His music ranges from bruised and bloody ballads to booze-infested, desperately toe-tappin' anthems. In his words, he "sings sad songs that sometimes sound happy." According to other people, he "represents a modern day Johnny Cash, who introspectively sings about the dark side of romance behind 50’s and 60’s inspired guitar blues" (1) and "channels both Elvis and Randy Newman, combining a nostalgic melody with trenchant lyrics" (2).
His first release, "Like a Nail in Your Head," was in 2011. Since then, Nate Paladino has been consistently recording and playing live. In 2014, he released "Good Boy," an EP that "take[s] you through a roller coaster of emotions both good and bad and tug[s] at the heart strings more than once. The lyrics are funny, heart breaking, tear jerking, outlandish, and most assuredly……true" (3). He recorded the EP with his trusted drummer, Jon Hyrkas, and Frank Fermi on bass. He also released a music video for the single off that EP, "Buy Your Heart," featuring award-winning pole dancer Drea Roers.
Whether it's a small bar or a big stage, Nate Paladino knows how to hook an audience with humor and flair, and then how to keep them with substance and authenticity.
