Detour 91 is a group of musicians between the ages of 17 and 19 who will captivate you with their soulful and lively tunes, strong musicianship and charismatic stage presence. Performing since 2012, these musicians have been on stages in California, Chicago & Memphis. They are influenced by funk/rock/blues/soul and write their own compositions. Detour 91 has been featured in the Orange County Register, Southland Blues Magazine, Press Enterprise and opened for music legends B. B. King (twice), Leon Russell, Eric Sardinas, Tab Benoit, Ambrosia, Bobby Kimball, Steve Tyrell, Guitar Shorty, Janiva Magness and more. They have performed at Fox 11 Good Day LA, and the Youth Showcase representing the Los Angeles Blues Society at the 30th International Blues Challenge in Memphis. They recently won the Battle of the Bands in Anaheim and were recognized for their musical talent by the Anaheim Mayor and City Council.
